Ceramic production is one of the oldest forms of art in human history, yet many artistic movements of the 20th and 21st centuries have also embraced these craft based origins. Assembly: Contemporary ceramics brings together seven local artists working across sculpture, painting, drawing, installation and performance who integrate traditional ceramic processes and aesthetics into their expanded contemporary art practices.
