Join Melinda Martin, Director, Linden Centre for Contemporary Arts along with ceramic artist Penny Byrne and CEO and Group Fairs Director Australia, Barry Keldoulis for a drink and discussion about contemporary art practice and the variety of ways we can support artists through collecting and philanthropy. 

In 2005 ceramics conservator Penny Byrne entered her first artwork into Linden’s open entry art award, the Postcard Show. As luck would have it, the work was reviewed and illustrated that year in Artlink where it was quickly noticed by a commercial gallery. Since then, Byrne has exhibited both nationally and internationally and has established a considerable reputation for her politically imbued artworks which she creates by reconstructing and manipulating figurines from damaged and antiquated ceramic objects. In 2013 her work was exhibited at Art Basel Hong Kong.

Respected Australian art identity Barry Keldoulis is CEO and Group Fairs Director of Art Fairs Australia Pty Ltd, the company behind the Sydney Contemporary and Melbourne Art Fairs.
